Administrative & Logistics Support
Below Sea Level Aid is seeking a highly organized, dependable person to provide very part-time administrative and logistics support (approximately 3–5 hours per week).
This role is ideal for someone looking for supplemental income — a graduate student, community organizer, parent/caretaker, artist, or someone with flexible work who wants to contribute to harm reduction and mutual aid infrastructure in South Louisiana.
We are a grassroots nonprofit rooted in community care, providing harm reduction supplies, rapid HIV/STI testing, reentry support, and direct mutual aid across the Greater New Orleans area.
What You’ll Do
This role combines light administrative coordination with hands-on supply management.
Logistics & Inventory (In-Person at Storage Facility)
- Receive and log deliveries
- Organize and maintain supply storage systems
- Track inventory levels and flag items that need restocking
- Prepare supply bundles for outreach and program days
- Maintain a clean, organized storage space
Administrative Support (Remote + As Needed)
- Maintain inventory spreadsheets and digital records
- Assist with light data entry for reporting
- Monitor shared email inbox (limited scope)
- Support scheduling coordination
- Help prepare simple documents for outreach or events
Position Details
- 3–5 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling (with some coordination around deliveries)
- Hybrid: some remote admin work + some in-person storage work
- Stipend based pay (based on experience)
- Long-term consistency preferred
Because of the limited hours, this role works best for someone who already has primary employment or income.
Requirements
- Self-starter who can work independently
- Reliable transportation (required for storage facility access and occasional pickups)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs
- Deep roots in the South and understanding of regional context
Strongly Encouraged to Apply
We prioritize hiring people who reflect the communities we serve, including:
- Queer and trans folks
- Current or former sex workers
- People with reentry experience
- People who use or have used drugs
Experience in harm reduction, nonprofit work, warehouse organization, or mutual aid systems is a plus but not required.
